5.0 out of 5 stars Scissors from gift wrap heaven! Behold, the ideal scissors! Is there anything more aggravating than cutting a straight edge while wrapping gifts? Arg! I have to hold the paper upright, fight the roll to keep it from beating a path across the room and make a straight cut without tears. Suffice it to say that my patience runs thin. I waited until these arrived to start wrapping gifts to see how big a difference the angled blades make, and IT’S A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! Instead of having to practice yoga moves to cut a straight edge, I was able to guide the blades without issue across the entire length of the roll. I was also able to keep the paper rolled tighter because I needed less clearance to use these scissors. The blades are sharp and only needed a small cut to start a single slice down the paper. I’m sure they will dull over time, but I know how to use a whet stone. The handles are comfortable and big enough for a good grip without grabbing at your thumb when setting them down. There’s even a box cutter situated between the handles to remove the temptation of using the blades to cut into a box (they stay sharper).
